What to know before you come, and what to throw in the car. Most of what you need is already waiting at the house.

Good to Know

Before you come

  • Maximum 8 guests.
  • The rate covers 2 guests; each additional guest is $30 per night.
  • Booking direct on this site costs less than the same dates through Vrbo or Airbnb — you skip the platform’s guest service fee.
  • Two-night minimum stay. Check-in 4pm, check-out 11am.
  • Dogs are welcome — up to 50 lbs, $20 per night per dog, up to 3 dogs. Fenced areas behind the house and across the front.
  • Cancellation: cancel up to 24 hours before check-in for a full refund. We ask that you cancel as early as you can, so another family has the chance to use the dates.
  • No day visitors without approval from your hosts.
  • Swimming and river activities are at your own risk — please wear a life jacket.
  • Please let us know right away if anything is broken or missing, so we can fix it for the next guests.
  • We are about 10 miles from the nearest grocery store in High Springs; there are smaller stores closer. It helps to pick up groceries before you arrive — once you see the house, you'll want to spend as much time here as possible.
  • No smoking indoors.

Packing for the river

Most of what you need is already here. These are the things worth throwing in the car.

  • Walking shoes
  • Flip flops or water shoes
  • Neoprene swim shirt or wetsuit — the river runs cold
  • SPF shirts and sunscreen
  • Bathing suits
  • Snorkel gear
  • Groceries — worth a stop on the way so you needn’t leave again

Already here

  • Wifi
  • Towels and linens
  • Hair dryer, shampoo and soaps
  • Laundry and dishwasher detergent
  • Toilet paper and paper towels
  • Five single kayaks, plus floats, tubes and rafts
  • Safety vests for adults and children
  • Baby gear — pack & play with mattress and sheet, high chair, and baby gates for the stairs

Stay in the middle of all of it

Twelve private acres on the Santa Fe River, two first-magnitude springs within ten minutes, and the kayaks are already here.
